Woven headband with Ornament

So the first time I made one of these headbands was for my 9 year old daughter to wear to her aunt and uncle’s 16th birthday party.
My husband was actually the one who suggested I add these ornaments to the headbands. That’s right I said ornaments! I found them at Michaels. I just flattened one side and hot glued them to the headband, after I wrapped it of course. Hope you like it.

Here are the first two bows of my 12 days of Christmas bows. I know ones late, but hey, with four kids, it’s bound to happen sometimes. ๐Ÿ™‚ย They were fun and easy to make. And my favorite parts are the cute little Santa Claus and gingerbread girl embellishments. Aren’t they adorable?!

This beautiful Christmas bow was inspired by mommycraftsalot. When I first saw this bow I thought, “I’ll never be able to recreate this, it looks to complicated.” But mommycraftsalot breaks it down for you and it turned out to be quite easy. Thank you mommycraftsalot, and I can’t wait to see what else you come up with. Keep them coming ๐Ÿ™‚

So after recreating this amazing bow, I’ve decided to see what I can come up with on my own. Starting December 1st I will begin my 12 days of Christmas Bows! Wish me luck.

Trick-or-Treat Bow

When I saw these ribbons at the store, I just knew that I had to make something with them!ย  I was a little worried about using the trick-or-treat ribbon because it is wired and I have never worked with wired ribbon before today. It turns out that they are easier to work with. Once you fold the ribbon the way you want it, the wire actually helps the ribbon hold its shape. So it was easier to thread the embroidery floss through while holding it together. I’ll definitely try more wired ribbons in the future.
